Our Mission

We do what we do because Kids Can't Wait.

Since 1983, Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals have raised more than $5 billion—most of it $1 at a time—for 170 children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada, which, in turn, use the money where it’s needed the most. CMN Hospitals offer treatment for children who are battling chronic illnesses, including cancer, pediatric AIDS, muscular dystrophy, heart disease, leukemia and traumatic injuries caused by accidents or other traumas.

Where does the money raised by UNO Dance Marathon go?

All the money raised by UNO Dance Marathon goes to Children's Nebraska, our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Children's Nebraska is a 145-bed nonprofit organization caring for children since 1948. It is the only full-service pediatric specialty health care center in Nebraska. Patients are referred from throughout the region for the treatment of complex or unusual diseases in addition to pediatric primary care. In previous years, funds have been donated to the Emergency Room, Radiology department, and the new Hubbard Center.  At Children's Nebraska, no child in need of medical care is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.

History of Dance Marathon

Dance Marathon was founded to raise money for a local Children’s Hospital in Indiana. This movement started with a group of people wanting to honor their friend who passed from AIDS. This has expanded into more than 400 programs nationwide, with UNODM being founded in 2016

With the help of our amazing community and campus, we have collectively raised over $450,000 for Children’s Nebraska. This is all possible because of people like YOU!
